The thing is that it's not just Lime who does this. Makes me wonder if there are other eBikes with a heavy unistrut style bikes which are doing this?

They are also heavy as fuck. They are quoted at 35kg. Parts of your body weight will also crash on your leg and if you have something in the basket, that's extra weight.
