Two Sentence Horrors.
The title should be the first sentence, while the body should be the second.
Keep it spooky.

Yeah, I don't think the slop adds anything to it (quite the opposite for me), this could have been a nice (non-slop) text post (a chance to be creative with writing the scene) and OP would've gotten an upvote from me.
This was a text post at first, I should have been clearer. In case that changes anything. The writing is me, I just can't draw and can't think of any actual horrors to post.

For what it's worth, I edited it. I tried removing the picture and adding it in a comment instead but it isn't letting me.
I used to think that paintings always have to have a great lighting and composition and I tried as hard as I can to get it perfectly right. But Now with AI and all this Corpo bs I am happy when I walk past a painting and its not perfect. Drawing with imperfections have a lot more depth and make me happier than creamy AI slop because not everything is meant to be "beautiful".
Nah, I down voted because it isn't two sentence horror.
Without the image, there's nothing horror about the post, and this isn't an image based community.
I'd say you are right about this not being an image based community.
That being said, with the image, do you think it does kind of hit that horror spot and emulates the sentence properly? If it was posted on a separate two sentence panel community for instance.
This was the original : https://lemmy.world/post/25939841
I feel like it hits it a bit better than the sentence. It was a lot easier too but probably passes the two sentence info threshold as well.
I've been thinking of other formats, like 2-3 sentence paragraph and one final sentence. Maybe it all belongs in a seperate short form horror sub.
Two sentence is hard and I feel like I've run out of ideas. Only a few of mine have been any good tbh, this and the Sistine Chapel one mainly, which I remember you commenting on haha.
I've also been thinking of setting up a bot that would post 1 horror per day from a list of top rated stories from Reddit. It's mostly to get people subscribed and bring in new writers, and could serve as inspiration. This sub can be quite dead at times. But idk if everyone would rather keep it OC only. I know you are a regular to this sub, what's your opinion?
Oh! And I remember that Sistine Chapel one! Plus a couple of others. You really do have a talent for this format.
Well, all constrained writing is hard. I've tried my hand at various formats of it over the years, and I kinda suck at it. I suck extra hard at it as the allowed length goes down. Soi totally sympathize with running out of ideas. I don't think I've had one for two sentence in years. It was on reddit the last time, and that was before they screwed up the api lol.
Tbh, I'm a little jealous of folks that can do this kind of writing, even if it ends up flopping because of the creative juice it takes to even have an idea, much less craft it.
I'm not totally against bots reposting, though I think it risks decreasing original posts since lemmy runs high to folks that will just block communities with frequent bot posts. Regardless, that would be up to the mod of the c/, so my opinion is diaper-ish. But in terms of enjoying the c/ as a user, I think as long as it's once a day, it would be a net positive.
As far as this post goes, I think if you'd used the full two sentence story in the title, and added the image as a secondary thing in comments, it wouldn't have been an issue for anyone but the die-hard anti-ai crowd. You were up front about the image being ai, and that's all I care about in that regard, the honesty. Edit: in other words, the second sentence isn't visible from all apps, so it looks like it's only one sentence and the image until you enter the comment section.
I don't think that this community would be a good place for expanded constraints. It's kind of like a haiku. Once you expand the format, it breaks the thing that makes it so intriguing. That third sentence alone changes the craft of the idea significantly, even if the impact of the result was the same.
That being said, I would love a one paragraph horror community! I don't know if lemmy is big enough to support one, but damn does it sound cool! It would be perfect for literature.cafe imo. I'm kinda surprised nobody has set one up yet.
