The bill (HB 399) has been criticized by Miami Beach officials because it allows the development to move forward without being cleared by the Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board. The Miami Beach Commission had urged DeSantis to veto the bill.

Other legislation signed by DeSantis includes a measure (SB 386) requiring farm equipment manufacturers to repair, replace or compensate a consumer if the equipment breaks down within the warranty period. Manufacturers, though, don’t have to comply if the breakdown is the result of neglect or improper modifications made by the consumer.

The other bills signed by DeSantis include a measure (HB 569) to allow the Agency for Persons with Disabilities to house criminal defendants who need to be restored to competency to be housed with defendants whose charges have been dismissed, and a measure (HB 844) adding the treatment of pain for patients with sickle cell disease to the standard education course on prescribing controlled substances.

A pair of bills (HB 1443, HB 1445) require the University of South Florida to create a registry of Parkinson’s Disease patients and exempt the registry from public records laws. Another measure (HB 7011) extends a public records exemption for aquaculture data held by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services that was set to expire in October.

I'm unsure of what you're saying. I think they did a great job on Epstein and this article is fine. They're not perfect though, they occasionally go off the deep end.

I was giving high praise on epstein, they are the only reason he went down.

They have not done much else of note that I know of. They do take ad money from mass poisoners lying about systematically poisoning entire watersheds. Which is not so cool.

Monsanto/Bayer?

I think, like most major pubs right now, have someone step in if they go "too far" against one of their buddies or advertisers. Some have an editor that just changes the headlines. That's just my opinion from watching all of these headlines go by every work day, but it could be worse than that.

You can get around the paywall pretty easily, it's called a light paywall.

right click > inspect > go to 3 dots > settings > disable javascript

Really? Thanks for the tip I will have to check that. I have used paywall Buster a few times but it's a lot of work. I have trouble getting archived to work but I've gotten that a couple of times to provide an article.

It doesn't work for all papers, but it works for Miami Herald, Seattle Times and New York Times. The tech pubs tend to have tighter security, lol.

That is great to know thanks, startpage's anonymous viewing used to crack them but no more.

Off subject, but I cannot stomach the times, I used to read it everyday, and was able to take their propaganda in stride, they're a lot worse than they used to be.

I quit them in 2018 because of Israel, I was just given a gift subscription and holy shit they're worthless, they have not broken a single big scandal in this admin?

Something is wrong, the old Times broke stories, they were fearless, they've been broken. They surrendered to the administration and I am not convinced their editors and or owners are not on the epstein list. Worthless. A Rag.
