I don't have Seperate Keychains for each vehicle, I have all of my vehicle keys on quick releases, so I can just clip on the vehicle key I want to drive. It's great. I do sacrifice minimalism a bit for some practicality in other ways, but yeah, I try to keep it light.

Sounds like a lot of crap, but it ends up looking like this, which isn't too bad, considering all of the utility it has.

My place has a lock with an key fob. I cloned it to a sticker snd put it on my license. I can leave with my car key, license, and CC and be good.

You should get an S carabiner for the flash drives so you don't have to plug your keys into your computer.

That would add some bulk, and I don't really have issues with plugging my keys into a computer. Frankly, I don't use the flashdrives that often, but when I need them, they're lifesavers.

Word. They work for me, figured I'd share.

The Ventoy stick i have is a Lexar 128GB one that has both A and C on it. Highly recommend as thats then one less thing to carry.

I really love the form factor of the sticks I carry, the solid one piece of metal with no moving parts. The dual ones always have a swivel, though that lexar one does look nice.

The USB C adapter just goes on the end of one of the sticks so it doesn't really add another thing to carry.

The Ventoy thing reminds me of my minimalist setup:

  • My car keyfob.
  • My apartment key (on an extra keyring so it dangles lower to use immediately when I grab the whole set by the keyfob).
  • My mailbox key.
  • My work key.
  • Minimal 256 GB flash drive partitioned into 100 GB for Ventoy and 150 GB for random personal files. This is my favorite minimalist shape for flash drives by far.

I have done geocaching and I've got a Steam Deck, so I may be borrowing the pen and adapter ideas, though I'll probably keep the adapter with the Deck.

I should definitely combine my flashdrives into one... But I haven't gotten around to that I suppose. The form factor of these is awesome, I've been using them for over 10 years, my first one was a USB-2 variant.

I might steal the idea of putting my house key on a lower ring, I currently find it by feeling the teeth as they're newer and sharper than my parent's house key lol.

Had to look that up. I'm happy keeping my keys in my pocket.

Oh, but there are so many other cool gadgets you can hook to it! A capsule full of sewing needles, a seam ripper, a small pair of scissors, maybe even a soft measuring tape. You could be a portable tailor!

[–] couldhavebeenyou@lemmy.zip 1 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Sounds like you need a purse for that

[–] Joelk111@lemmy.world 1 points 22 hours ago

What. Did you look at the photo? My keys are probably still smaller than average.
