Just deleted reddit and working on getting off of facebook. I'm actually glad to be here. It's a bit of an adjustment but I think it's for the better. Cheers everyone.

Right, exactly, that's my point. None of them can ban you from the fediverse, just their instance.

Well getting your account that you groomed up for who knows how long nuked is pretty damn close. Especially if you're a main contributor to a comm or two and all that work disappears.

You sound like you've had personal experience with this...

Also, that doesn't change the fact that no instance admins can ban your IP across the whole fediverse, so it's still not as bad as reddit...

Going back to my first comment on this chain:

So... what part of that has changed?
