cw: sexual harassment and assault

i know its an unpleasant one but i get sexually harassed a lot by strangers and i want to know if other women don't have a similar experience to me because its relentless.

i had three separate guys do something while i sat on a bench eating my lunch today for not even five minutes and it made me reflect on how its almost every time that i leave the house that there's an incident with a man. i left my bag in the supermarket last week because a man followed me from the cafe I was in to ask me for my Snapchat - and told me so. three days before that, I had a man grope me on the bus while other men on the bus spoke over me for saying, "its ok. it happens all the time" with stuff like "well its not ok". on another day this week, i got separated from a friend when we were walking through the city and a man stopped her to ask her if her boobs were real.

we talk about sexual harassment being a bad thing and an everyday experience for women but I still don't think that we truely get across to people (particularly men) how incredibly non-stop it is.

I knew it happened but I never realized how frequent it is until I transitioned. I don't go outside that often but I've had it happen a few times.

When I was 5 months on e, I was helping my disabled aunt bring boxes into her apartment and I had just brought in the last box and was leaving the building. When I went to open the door I discovered that there was semen on the backside of the handle and I got it all over my hand. There was this one guy I kept seeing every time I was going in and out and he would always just stare at me so I figure it was him.

Then another time I was in the Aldi parking lot and this old man comes up to me and asks if he could pay me to have sex with him. I just quickly got in my car and got the hell out of there.

The other instances of sexual harassment I've experienced were unsolicited dick pics. I do carry a screech alarm on me now but I haven't had to use it yet.
