Reviews make it sound like it's just a more polished version of the original, which was already beloved.

Become the stealer of forms in GRIME II, a surreal action-adventure metroidvania. Launch tendrils made of hands to absorb foes and summon molds in their shape, as you explore a bizarre lived-in-world obsessed with art.

I really need to go back and give GRIME another shot. I played a couple of hours last fall but fell off, I think due to Soulslike fatigue at the time. It is a great game though and from the looks of it this is even better.

The only thing I'm hesitant about is the platforming gauntlets, I hate and suck at platforming (the two not at all being related I'm sure...).

Same with me on Grime 1.

In my opinion, avoid “MÍO: Memories in Orbit” if you’re not a fan of platforming. I had to avoid some pretty big areas of that game for how seriously hard some of the platforming challenges were.

Thank you for the warning. I had already suspected as much from some footage and other testimonies. Highly unfortunate as MIO looks absolutely beautiful but I want to save myself the frustration. Same reason I'm staying away from Hollow Knight and Silksong. Maybe one of the let's players I watch will play MIO, who knows. I'd like to see it as the game looks phenomenal.
