Asmongold, the literal personification of a trash can. Don't look him up, life's better spent without knowing of his existence.

[–] Bluescluestoothpaste@sh.itjust.works 26 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

People need to stop sharing his crap then, downvote these posts, all i hear about is how the guy is awful and stupid and for some reason people are like "let me share this awful stupid person others will like it" I dont get it, if he sucks then dont repost crap dont make memes of him, let the rest of us who never heard of him enjoy actual good posts instead of posts about some dogshit streamer

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 14 points 22 hours ago

Him and his fans deserve to be mocked. The next time you interact with a fan of his, ask them why he wont take an IQ test on stream if thinks Africans naturally have a lower IQ.

[–] entwine@programming.dev 3 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

He's huge on all the streaming platforms, so you can't really ignore him. Clueless people will have his content force fed to them by the algorithm, and some will end up becoming fans.

Pre-empting that by pointing out how much of a disgusting pathetic loser and worthless piece of shit he is might help someone make an informed choice before watching his content.

I watch twitch everyday and never came across him, sounds like your ragebaiting yourself by clicking on dogshit streamers.

So people can't make informed choice without it?

[–] entwine@programming.dev 5 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

No, people cannot make an informed choice without information.

...That's what the "informed" part of that phrase means.

[–] BlackLaZoR@lemmy.world -4 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Part of making informed choice is to listen to arguments. You just postulate to avoid this guy because you don't like what he says.

I can tell from your diminished reasoning abilities that you're probably an Asmongold fan. There's not much I can type here to help you, but I'll try to keep it short and use simple words and bullet points:

  • I have heard him talk
  • by hearing him talk, I have become informed about him
  • using this information, I have made the informed decision to not listen to him further

I can try simplifying it further if you still don't get it.

  • I have heard him talk too
  • by hearing him talk I have become informed about him.
  • using this information I built an informed opinion that some of his takes are correct, some are retarded, but most of them are fun.
