It is really not that deep. Trump is a "mad emperor" in an autocratic system. All his ministers know that Trump is literally demented, but they all know that they will pay if they are the first to speak up against Trump. There has been examples of this throughout history.

So it is exactly as stupid as it seems. I like the term "100 ELO chess". Here is Google's description of 100 ELO chess:
