What naysayers don’t get about ‘No Kings,’ the biggest protest in U.S. history

leaders with the most prominent Trump-resistance group organizing “No Kings” answered that complaint Saturday when Indivisible’s Ezra Levin took to the stage in Minneapolis and announced that a nationwide general strike is planned for May 1, modeled after a successful local action that shut down much of that region in January

I expected the place I went to have like maybe twenty people and there ended up being hundreds. This is in a deeply red area. We got so many cheers and honks of support from people in traffic. Like it was non-stop horns the whole time. It was only an hour long protest, but it was so incredible. I spoke to a group of 5 protestors who used to be MAGA, but realized they were wrong. They said they were protesting to try to change the minds of the people they used to be like and to make up for helping bring about the meds we're all in. The whole thing made me a lil hopeful for the future and I was riding the good mood from it all the way through Sunday.
