The original, and still best by a Grand Canyon-sized margin IMO.
Tron 2.0 - is the true sequel. Prime Monolith doesn't fuck around
I remember that, but didn't play it. I was so hooked on Armagetron (which focused on 3D lightcycle battles) that I wasn't all that interested.
Tron 2.0 is very-very good FPS with pacing that should be studied in schools - you get all the stuff from Tron but interactive and then a bunch of new stuff that builds upon it. It is a lot of fun if you can get past the old game stigma.
Haha, for me it would still be like a new game. I think the last FPS I played was Quake III Arena, and those games are just too stressful for me now due to aging reflexes & health issues.
Then you will like it - it is a proud representative of Monolith's god tier run that included Tron, Blood, Claw (the ultimate pirate cat game), Shogo (MECHA!!), Condemned, No One Lives Forever 1 and 2 (wacky 60s spy fi), Aliens versus Predator 2 (i mean - that's it) and FEAR and also Lord of the Rings if it was Diablo later on.
No One Lives Forever sounds fun, so I'm watching a playthrough. The funky head graphics remind me of an old Cinemaware game called "The King of Chicago."
If you like Android games, then you might dig "Agent A." It's an excellent spy-fi adventure in the point-and-click style.
AVP2 is another gem - it has Dark Horse style batshit insane story and you get to play as Big Chap messing people up like a motherfucker.
