(my english isn't very good, this post was machine translated.)

hello! I'm a transgirl who just started using lemmy. 🥺

Today is my 21st day on SRS. I've felt very comfortable and happy during this time, even though I'm in a lot of physical pain.

Is it easy to transition where you live? Do you have people around who accept you?

I live in China, where the situation for transgender people varies greatly and is heavily dependent on parents and your academic performance (which determines your school). I was fortunate to have relatively supportive parents and a good school, so my life was relatively smooth. However, there are also many transgender people in China who are legally sent to internment camps by their parents and driven to suicide. During my five years of transition, I met hundreds of transgender friends, of whom about seven committed suicide, and countless others attempted suicide.
