Encourage a continuous learning environment where members can share knowledge and engage in scientific discussions.
Rule 9: Source required for answers.
Provide credible sources for answers. Failure to include a source may result in the removal of the answer to ensure information reliability.

I'd argue that it's a culture-specific thing:
Among Empiricism Science rules.
but among the academic-class-system, it is status which rules.
& among authority-based-medicine ( see here for evidence, & they're being MUCH more polite about it than I, gaslit by doctors all my life: dad was a medical-researcher & doctor: he taught me to think .. but he still insisted that authority-based-medicine was evidence-based-medicine, because that was his identity ) .. it is evidence-based-medicine IDENTITY and authority which rules: validity is exclusive to doctors.
So, pick any time in history, including now, when immense science is being done, & you'll find that those born into science-culture live science's paradigm, but those born into other assumption-rivers/religions' way, are embodying their cultures/paradigms.
There has never been any time, that we know-of, where there weren't competing paradigms which owned more of the population.
Not for a continental-region, not for the whole-planet.
