I think you're on to something. Professional baristi know to sharpie before filling. This cup was already sweating when it was written on.

Yeah I haven't seen anything written on a coffee cup in years. They have little labels with names that come off of the printer, or the place is slow enough that it isn't needed.
They aren't supposed to say names either because corporate thought viral name misspellings were bad for the brand, they just say what the order is.
