UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

If you'd like us to read this tabloid source, you could provide an archive link. Why didn't you quote a Green Party response btw?
I don't, I just thought it was funny in another thread someone laughed at the idea the green party is full of anti-semites because the leader is a jew
last one laughing n all
Selectively quoting a right wing tabloid doesn't prove anything. If you don't know whether a news source is legitimate, you could try asking someone from the country in which that source is based. The Telegraph is not legitimate.
Yes I expected you to attack the source not the content. You know on right wing forums they do the same thing? BBC? can't trust that! You know the BBC is brainwashing lefty trash, totally not legitimate.
Looks legit to me
Nazi's? In my green party? It's more likely than you think
The BBC is not any sort of left. It's centrist to centre-right.
Its transphobic, pro-genocide, pro-monarchy takes should make that very clear.
you are free to go onto twitter and yell it out with the best of em, good luck 🫡
But my comment is more referring to the 'source is not reliable' attack, not the whether or not the BBC is anything
If you quote a haterag, people are going to take issue with that.
Don't take pro-Israel partisans at face value. You think a source is legitimate because it quotes someone who was given a peerage after helping to bring down the former leader of the governing party? Because it quotes a pro-Israel campaign group?
I don't know if that screenshot is real. Assuming it is, a handful of members in one group in one local party are expressing views that can be interpreted as antisemitic. Ok. I hope that appropriate action is taken. It's hardly evidence of your horseshoe theory horseshit.
Why should I trust this organisation when its leader tried to run protestors over in a van?
Mike Katz? Friend of Ivor Caplin and Liron Velleman?
