It is the first commercial succes I would say.

Also DnD as a thing is the best known in the US. Check Das Schwarze Auge in Germany, or Cthulhu in Japan.

Finally, could we agree that even if we aren't perfect and can improve.. and agree quickly that "yeah, the DnD bit should have been TTRPG or "? The person describes a Food Fight in a Stuffer Shack - a Shadowrun classi - and I have to argue that TTRPG would be a better fit than DnD?
