Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Limit of two posts per person per day.
- Bots aren't allowed.
- Banned users will have their posts removed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Must be how I made it back from Iraq without killing anyone. I guess I could always see the Lemmy light, and learn to gather 5 upvotes for making up shit about people I've never met.
Risking your life for a pedophile isn't the flex you think it is. None of you lemmings that signed up (to attack poor people that never did anything to you) did it to "Defend" anything. Most of you idiots sign up to escape poverty. Poverty your ruling class is responsible for you being in, in the first place. Your military you so proudly associate with bombed a school and killed 160 kids, and you will strap on your boots and go kill some more because a pedophile told you to. And cowards just do as they're told.
Your entire country is built around exploitation of others, and you signed up to actively participate in enforcing future exploitation.

PS: it's weird you don't enter an educational institution because you are potentially "prohibited" but a school shooter will ignore that prohibition and there will be no one there to stop him. And I wouldn't count on the uvalde police department to take action as they proved they are scared little piggies who hid in hallways while kids were being actively murdered, "for officer safety" Turns out your service couldn't even save some kids from your very own people.

Not weird at all actually, see the commenter doesn't want to be arrested and sent to prison just for having a tool for protection on their belt, but the school shooter isn't concerned with that because they're about to murder people (and then themselves most often), which is a bigger crime and an avoidance of that jail sentence, so they don't particularly care that a gun is illegal to have at a school.
True, but if you bring a gun into a school for protection "because the cops won't" (not arguing the premise) and you get caught, you're still going to federal prison for a long time. It's still a federal felony even though the cops suck. That matters to most people who aren't already planning to break other laws like "child murder."
Serving 20 years ago is nothing like "defending a pedophile", but you're otherwise correct that I got mine and have a very mercenary outlook on military service. Way to miss my real point though: I'm trained, not just cos-playing. More than that, I was trained as Military Police, and have worked for years in the security field.
That said, Kyle Rittenhouse himself showed better de-escalation skills than you Blue-MAGAs here. He ran from a crowd that was chasing him down for putting-out their (literal)gas-station-parking-lot-dumpster-fire, until he could run no more and found a pistol in his face.

Next to ANY of you geniuses that keep coming after me here, that's a garbage outlook. The crowd doesn't make you safe; The crowd isn't even on your side the moment your survival becomes even mildly inconvenient to their desire act without personal accoutability. Any of you are safer next to me, or Kyle, than with eachother, and that's a fact. Hell, most of you centrists are so bad at this as to be safer with cops than eachother, and I am very much in the ACAB-stance when I say that.
Oh shit, I missed your PS on first read. You genuinely think I won't leave my gun locked-up to go have lunch with my kids, or would let a cordon of cops that haven't made-entry in half-an-hour stop me in an active shooter situation? I would make it safer for them to go in than stay in front of me by that point, assuming they were competent enough to keep me from just sneaking past them.
