According to this article that can actually be read, round trip tickets were $30 per person. Otherwise, the fare calculator shows a ticket price of $8.75 one way. I think the extra $12.50 is fine for a special event where the transit authority is tasking additional trains to the route.

Better than recent news about parking spaces going for hundreds per game. Good on the people trying the train for the first time.
