In all fairness, we're talking about two violent dictatorships. Why are you giving either the benefit of the doubt when the topic is human rights violations?

Well, one violent dictatorship has been living under extreme global trade sanctions for the decades after they were a genocide. And the other is Russia. I think either way we're should look at a story from a known propaganda source like the independent with a grain of salt
