I was searching the web and found a lot of people like Shokz Open Run Pro 2, my friend personally likes the technicsys headphones.

My goal here is to listing to music while doing stuff like archery, running, rock climbing, hiking.

After this post, my friend let me try his Openrun 1 and it felt a little weird. It was as if there were directional speakers behind my head. Not sure how big of a difference the Openrun Pro 2s have on those

These two models have one big difference between them.

Those ones only have standards bone conduction. Openrun pro 2 adds an air conduction element, in addition to bone conduction. They sound surprisingly normal. It's easy to forget you have them on

About how big of a jump in sound quality is it?

Didn't have their prior models, but had another of the type. I'd say it's pretty noticeable.

Of course as open headphones you depend on not having too much noise to be able to hear all details. But when you're away from noise I've got zero complaints.
