Never work for free. Do what you’re paid to do, and nothing extra. To do otherwise means you don’t respect the value of your own time.

I often talk to older people at work. People who are just retired or older. A lot of them complain to me about the same thing: can you believe that young people just stop working when their shift is over? They just drop everything and leave. Some work/life balance thing.
