Is marking something as a political advertisement a requirement and what’s the best way to do that? And just for the original post? Still learning the conventions.

I don't think it's a requirement per se, but generally when an ad is shared it should be clear that it is an ad IMO. Especially in this case, it looks like it's not an ad but an explanation video.
