If there wasn't a reason before to avoid layovers in the US, you have one now.

This is going to end badly for humans but it will stock up fresh children at the US ~~Rape~~ Detention Centres.

I've been to lots of American airports and the one thing they all have in common is lots of side doors and back hallways.
