I suspect many of the people in this thread are from Yorkshire.

I mean it's a great sketch and all, but I think if you come from a coddled affluent background it's easy to forget that you're very much in the minority.

The worst I can see in this thread is people who either didn't get an allowance or had to do chores for it; such people don't just outnumber you on Lemmy, they outnumber you globally.

Hey! That's not entirely fair I also got to drive my dad's old beat up car when I was 16 after my siblings were done using it (it was a pretty cool car tho. It had t-tops and flip up lights and maybe 10 horsepower) if I paid for insurance and pushed it up the hill so we could ride it down.

I see people competing for who had the most miserable childhood as a point of pride.

Not sure why you're commenting on my childhood though. I didn't volunteer any information on that. I'm not interested in playing this game. It's not that I can't relate, it's that I don't feel like sharing.

Yeah you don't get to take a pop at everyone else in the thread and then get all on a high horse when you get some extremely mild blowback. Get over yourself.

Who the fuck do you think you are to demand I lay my childhood bare?

Jog the fuck on.

I did absolutely nothing of the sort. You're getting yourself worked up into a frothing rage over something that you're completely imagining. You sound demented.

Oh look, a block button.

I feel you. I got to do some pretty amazing things growing up, I just had to work my ass off to get there
