Not only is it a war crime to give orders to take no prisoners/offer no quarter, it's also against American law to even make that threat in your propaganda.
And is also just dumb. Like, you want your opponent to surrender. Ideally without fighting in the first place. Announcing you will give no quarter will just make them more determined.

Yea, but the drunk Fox news host has also already straight up told us that the laws governing war no longer matter.
