I'm sorry, what? Wdym "nonce term"? As in pedophiles use it? What?
Is that a thing? Do pedophiles have preferred terminology for people of the USA? How do you even come to know about this being a "nonce term" in the first place??? Maybe "nonce" means something else?
Yeah, that's completely fine though. I don't really mind if they ignore me because of terminology.
I always thought that maybe if I start using the term and others start using it as well, maybe it'll become normalized at some point in the future. Who knows.
If not, then that's fine, not a biggie.
Nonce can mean niche yes, though it does add a flavor of derogatory implication to the subject, similar to if not precisely like how pedophiles have uh... ah... "specialized" interests.
Whether pedophiles themselves have preferred terminology, h-h-how would I know!?! ๐คช It's funny that we are now discussing our second non-preferred terminology:-).
I think "Usaian" has caught on, but only among internet incel culture, which is the problem I was warning about. Most people use US-American. Using Usaian then comes across as being meant as an insult.
first time I ever hear about this.
haven't really see it being used anywhere, personally, let alone among incels
A lil guilty of that, ngl. It does have a slight derogatory tinge that I'm not particularly opposed to
