MODERATORS

Children today can encounter harmful material online with alarming ease, including violent, sexual and self-harm content. While this is often treated as a moderation failure, the deeper cause is economic.

Its almost like advertising is as harmful to re society than drinking and smoking. Im not saying we should ban it, just have designated areas you have to go like an ad bar and you have to be 21 and older.

I would accept a compromise that bans targeted advertising. Static ads have been around for probably as long as writing, and they're not great but they're not the nightmare spy dystopia.

Unacceptable no deal.

My proposed exception is that you can have physical static ads advertizing the business they are posted on the property of or products/services sold in said business. Digital ads have the same rules. You can only advertize your products/services on the site where they are sold.

Otherwise no ads. I dream of a world where marketing majors are unhirable.
