Using schools for political indoctrination, misinformation, and propaganda in violation of student and teachers Constitutional rights? Yes, that sounds like Florida.
Every school in the country has always been used for indoctrination, misinformation, and propaganda. It's just what capitalists have to do to convince everybody to support a system that benefits the rich at the expense of everyone else.
Suggest an alternative that actually works? The Nordic countries and those with pension/single payer are also capitalist.
A healthcare/retirement system doesn't change your economic model unless you did something really wrong (like the United States did).
Socialism and communism have had far better outcomes for the majority of people. Not without mistakes or abuses of power, but even if we take the most dubious and exaggerated of accusations of communist atrocities at face value, they still pale at the casual everyday waste of life under capitalism.
You realize at this point communism almost doesn't exist anymore, right?
I mean technically communism has never existed because it specifically refers to a stateless, classless, and moneyless society. Socialism is the intermediate step where workers control the means of production in order to build communism.
But most people leave pedantry in the classroom and understand that the two terms are basically interchangeable in everyday context.
And FYI, the strongest economy in the world right now is socialist.
