Yeah I’m with you on that. I don’t know how any decent person can board the bus of this religion at this point, given how the bus has been hijacked by psychopaths. How up your own ass do you need to be to just show up to church on Sunday and chant hymns? Where are the outraged Christians trying to take their religion back? Nowhere - they just leave.

Where are the outraged Christians trying to take their religion back?

There is nothing to "take back." True followers of Christ see through these extremists in government as easily as they see through a some snake-worshipping Christian cult. Christians have always known there will be many that will pervert the truth, so they are not surprised. The problem is ~~people like you just assume they are sitting around endorsing this behavior~~ the media makes it seem all Chritians endorse this behavior, but the challenge is the same as always: true Christians do not have the wealth and power to control political/religious messaging around the world. It kind of goes against some key points in their theology.

You don’t get to excuse yourself just because you think your version of Christianity is the right and they’re not truly Christian.

They’re using your god to commit genocide. And frankly, if your god is real, he’s probably cool with it.

Also? The persecution complex you’re rocking is tiresome. You’re not being persecuted so quit it.

Persecution complex

I would never claim to be persecuted, but you specifically seem to paint with a broad brush.

This you?

Yes. yes it's you. I am not painting you with a brush. "The Media" is not making you ("Level Headed Christians™") look bad.

Very few people are saying "all christians". There are plenty of people who are both christian an standing against this... for example Bishop Budde who more or less called trump out to his face. An most the people who can be construed as saying that usually have some good points as to why.

It's unsurprising christofascim crops up because Jesus himself was rather fascist. I know. you're probably hissing at me like I just sprouted horns and a forked tongue an snake eyes, maybe a heart-spade tail, even.

But it's true. Yeah. Jesus said "treat your neighbor as yourself", but "neighbor" meant something different to him. It was more like "kin", or maybe "clan". And the law of Moses that Jesus explicitly endorsed has always made a distinction between Israelite and everybody else.

But Jesus also said the written law of moses is to remain in place until all time. And yeah. That's the kind of legal code that expressly permits slavery, forces young women (girls, probably) who were raped to marry their rapists, commands the slaughering of ~60% of women on the nights of their wedding because god doesn't understand biology, and stoning of disobedient children.

the peace and love stuff is reserved for the "right" people.
