We like to believe that facts are enough. But research shows that giving people more data rarely convinces them; instead, it’s empathetic conversations and trusted messengers that can reduce vaccine hesitancy

This is true for pretty much all beliefs. People are emotional morons. All of us. We make decisions based on feelings and following the in-group.

Internet slop and para social relationships with swindlers are very effective when they use this mechanism.
