You can have your opinions on what counts as “real” Star Trek, but forcing them on others is not allowed.

  • Everyone’s perspective is valid, TOS purists and Lower Decks fans alike
  • Keep debates about canon and quality friendly and inclusive

It’s the every other rule. ST fans (and I’m one of them) have always bashed on one spin-off or another. Every other ST movie kinda sucked to some, beloved by others (looking at you ST:IV).

I didn’t care for Discovery or Academy but I’m really enjoying Lower Decks and Strange New Words. Didn’t care for Voyager but loved Deep Space 9.

It seems like some writers/posters think we all unite under the ST flag but we never have. What I think binds us is suffering through a shit product knowing, “eh it happens sometimes, the next one will be better.”
