This is the best summary I could come up with:

Firefighters have extinguished a major blaze in Brisbane's inner south, which destroyed two homes and damaged two others overnight.

Emergency crews were called to the blaze on Heaslop Street in Woolloongabba about 2:30am and arrived to find the homes well involved.

Authorities had earlier advised nearby residents to close windows due to a large amount of smoke in the area.

"When our crews arrived a couple of minutes later, they were confronted with two houses that were very, very involved in fire, to the point where soon after they actually collapsed."

A resident of the street, Modestas Jab, said fallen powerlines had made things difficult for firefighters.

"The firefighter wasn't getting closer because the electricity lines fell on the road into water and sparks were flying everywhere.
