Rape is sometimes fatal.
Could transmit a deadly disease such as HIV.
Could result in pregnancy, and the pregnancy could result in complications that cause death.
In some cases, it drives the rape victim to commit suicide when they otherwise wouldn't have.
In extreme cases (especially cases involving very young minors), the act itself can injure the victim badly enough to directly result in death.
