How can one not consider the responsibilities of the USA and more generally of the West in all this...
Afghanistan has basically always been a warzone. The territory there changed hands fairly often, especially after Alexander, centuries before it became the area identified as Afghanistan today.
The feuds between people groups there are from long before "Western nations" were even a thing. Some of them pre-date recorded history. The biggest mistake any Western nation has made is believing they could somehow establish peace by getting involved in conflicts older than Rome. The West can certainly be blamed for being foolish, for meddling, for not really helping in any way... but not for starting the fight. The responsible parties are long dead, their remains crumbled to dust.
I'm as much against the US as the next guy but how is it the west's fault that Pakistan is now bombing Afghanistan?
You need to go many layers down before it starts being the West's fault.
Either by saying it's the West's fault that Pakistan is now bombing Afghanistan because they retreated and the Taliban took power.
Or by saying it's the West's fault that Pakistan is now bombing Afghanistan because they supported the Mujahideen which eventually led to the collapse of the DRA and the Taliban took power.
Sure there is responsibility, but there are many actors that have way more direct responsibility over this current event before we reach the West.
Giving back the power to the Taliban maybe? I think that's a recent event that leads to this.
Also that time when Donald Trump just released 5,000 Taliban fighters. Probably a pretty significant factor.
Yes but what im asking is why does the west get blamed for Pakistan bombing Afghanistan when:
We are 5 steps away before we reach the West, yet the West is blamed.
Saying the west "gave" back power to the Taliban is saying like Ukraine gave back Crimea to the Russians.
If you truly want to say the west gave power to the Taliban we would need to go further back.
That's 12 steps away before the West causing this. outside of 5, were the West lost the war if you want to blame them for that.
If any of these things acted different this wouldn't have happend.
Why is it only the West that is mentioned?
If Afghanistan wasn't a Taliban regime it would be a war of Pakistan and Afghanistan vs Taliban. No Kabul bombing.
And if Pakistan didn't send planes then there would be no Kabul bombing.
If the Pakistani Taliban didn't attack Pakisfan there would be no Kabul Bombing.
If the Taliban didn't support the Pakistani Taliban there would be no Kabul bombing.
The west fought the Taliban for 20 years, how long should they have fought on? 30? 50?
A good place to start is "if the CIA hadn't financed the Taliban..."
the IRA was just the taliban in uniform, anyone who spent any amount of time in that samdbox can confirm that
Frankly, it's all the British and Russian Empires' fault.
Because everything bad is the West's fault, just like everything bad is men's fault.
I'm sorry that 20 fucking years of fighting the Taliban wasn't enough to satisfy you.
Way to go Trump! You finally got a problem to solve itself. /rollseyes.
You should stop treating people's deaths in other parts of the world as just a tool for your bullshit propaganda.
