Similar experience. I know it feels like you've been betrayed. That's cause you have been.
It sucks to see reddit go into the shitter so fast but it was only a matter of time. Bots got to it too.
Well, enjoy Lemmy while it remains less mainstream.
I may be wrong but with it being defederated does that mitigate the concern of it being enshittified? Or maybe I dont understand the whole picture of defederated apps but isnt the hope that they remain corporate free even if they are popular?
Bots and tech corporations will always infiltrate popular social media platforms to push narratives.
There are companies you can hire that do this.
And the bad people out there definitely do this.
Once a platform becomes more popular, it will have a target on its back.
