I think a good way to put this is that the fanart represents a reaction to the promotion of violence.
All action against fascism is correct, including but not limited to violence.
Well I'm not sure about that ("all" and "correct"), but I'm pretty sure anyone promoting violence can expect being punched.
Being tolerant doesn't mean tolerating intolerance, just the same, promoting peace doesn't mean a peaceful response hate.
I support violence against those who are violent.
The guy who was punched was technically not violent. He was rather promoting violence (promoting ICE, who has shown excessive use of force/excessive violence). The guy who punched reacted violently against a guy who promoted violence. I'm looking for common ground between the guy who punched, and the security personnel called to the scene.
So the guy promoting hate and locking up of children leaving day care as a means to bait out their parents, is not violent?
Supporting violence (voting, financially, or otherwise) is violence my dude, you don't get to tell the judge that you didn't kill your wife, you asked someone else to do it, so technically he needs to find middle ground here. The FAQ is wrong with that logic of yours man.
Supporting violence is clearly different than the violence itself. That is not to say one is better than the other. It's saying that one will need an ambulance before the other ... "my dude" / "you didn't kill your wife" / "you don't get to tell the judge" / "that logic of yours man" / Bud.
Supporting violence is clearly different than violence... You really are doing some fancy mental gymnastics. If only you had the mental capacity to not be shit.
The only reason people get away with violence, is because someone is supporting it. If you enable it. You're just as culpable. "I didn't deport this baby, I just support the people who did, how about we find common ground..."

Pick a side here and stop being a coward. You're with the fascists or you're not. There is no fucking common ground with ice. That spineless middle-ground "I want them to deport babies but I also want to sleep at night" bullshit of yours, it says more than enough about the person you are.
Punch the Nazis! Make them feel unwelcome. There is no place for racism and hate.
Stop being a coward. Take a stance, pick a side. Tell us who you really are.
We should promote violence against Nazis. We should promote violence against fascists.
