Why do they need AI to do this? The answer is, they don't. Also, it's wrong about the details, I guarantee it. The thing is, even the "wrong" species planted still works. So, I suppose this is at least a harmless enough "use of AI". On the other hand, it's a bit ironic considering this could easily be handled with a much less resource-intensive one educated brain, and pencil and paper.
