Not surprising there's kids like that in lake Zurich. Tons of privilege there. This kid has a good head on his shoulders. Don't let the cake eaters get to ya bud! I went to school in the Chicago suburbs and felt like the poor city kid in a sea of wealth and fame. And I wasn't poor by any means, but let's say a lot of our money went to education.

I had the same experience. One of the poor families in a rich suburb. Now I look back and realize I lived in an admitadely run down castle and am like. Man I wish I was as poor as my dad.

Right on. I'm doing the same job as he did and make a fraction of what he made. Weakened dollar doesn't help one bit either. Keep on brother!

heck Im doing massively higher level work theoretically. he was a janitor (who never went to high school) and my mom did not work. I have stem bs with a dual major and a masters and have done lab work and IT. All the same I have no chance of affording a house like he payed off. Heck we will see if I lose my little two bedroom condo.

Same. Everyday is some new nail biter payment. It could be worse, and the probability is in our favor. Hold in there.
