Rand Paul and I disagree on many things, but he probably has more integrity than the rest of the Republican Senate caucus combined, and frankly I struggle to think of a Democrat in the Senate who I trust more either.
...what?
Do you believe Bernie Sanders lacks integrity (maybe you're splitting hairs on "Democrat")? Elizabeth Warren? Mark Kelley?
Idk, this seems like a poor attempt to "both sides"
Bernie is an Independent.
Warren helped the DNC derail Bernie's presidential run which definitely lost her points in my book.
Kelley seems like a straight shooter. So, we got one.
Your comment seems like a poor attempt to put me in a box because I said a positive thing about a Republican.
Fair enough. I'm struggling with the constant attempts to pin the blame of trump on the Dems not being enough while also projecting various purity tests on the party. I respect that you weren't doing that, sorry.
The dem party has a lot to improve on as whole and specifically with leadership. I also want anything better than Trump and I'm willing to settle, for now, on good enough. I wrongly interpreted your message as another attempt to wedge the party
It was very big of you to concede the point and I appreciate your willingness to engage with nuance! I do think the Dems are less bad than the (Fascist) Republicans, but I don't excuse their lack of serious resistance.
Hopefully we can find a way to dislodge the corrupt and sociopathic leaders of both parties and build a system that actually works for us some day. And yes, MAGA is a special brand of evil that I do not consider to be part of the "both sides" paradigm.
I can say I agreed with the first half of his statement but rand paul is kinds the best of the worst to me.
The other Libertarian, Massie, ranks a bit higher, if only for Junkyard Wars.
Maybe Ron Wyden? Please correct me if he's done something awful but he's one of only a few members of congress I've seen consistently push for our privacy rights.
Not to my knowledge. We can keep him on the nice list... For now
