American protestors? Or our protestors? Why do we care what's legal in America?
Because as everyone online knows, all discussions on the internet do and must relate to the US. Even if they briefly appear not to relate to the US and its shit govt, don’t worry, some insular American will pull the discussion right back where it belongs.
I swear to fucking hell, someone could post about oatmeal and within a dozen comments someone else would link it to Trump.
OP is probably in the USA.
If you do something that de jure legal or Constitutionally protected, it wins the "court of public opinion" and public opinion need to be positive in order to spread the movement and encourage people to join in. If you tell people it's legal to do [X Thing] they're more likely to do it.
But laws in America have no bearing on me or most of the world.
Apparently a certain orange president says it's ILLEGAL for protesters to carry guns so here we are.
