It really does. They also need to un-Marvel it. I feel like every sci fi and fantasy franchise that’s more than moderately interesting got hive-minded into the super bombastic and action-packed ten-to-a-dozen-episode-season paradigm by the Hollywood producer groupthink.
ST needs to get back to a format that lets them make slower, more thoughtful and considered episodes that are often considered some of the best the universe has to offer. And yeah, that will mean some filler episodes probably, but sometimes that’s fun too. And it would totally bring back that 90s vibe.
