Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Rules

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

Did you vote?

Did you think both sides are the same?

You helped get us to where we are.

Maybe the dems should have taken the threat seriously instead of presenting a candidate that promised fuck all. We wouldn't be in this situation if the Democrats pushed progressive policies instead of promising "stricter border control" or "most lethal military".

Hey, remember that performative vote disavowing socialism and how most Dems also voted for it?

Yes, I voted and I have voted in every election I have been able to except for a few off-years where nothing was on the ballot except local tax measures. For good measure, I typically vote straight D with the odd independent for things like mayor or city council.

In a lot of ways yes, but not enough to write off the dems entirely. If they grew a spine before white people started getting slimed by the pigs Iโ€™d respect them a lot more, but at least they are doing something now.

No more than you. Do you do anything to get us out of this or do you just spend your early mornings responding to hypothetical ideas of people asking them if they voted?

I voted for the paid opposition party or the Democrats as you'd call them. We needed actual action, no neo-lib "Let's calm down guys" bull.

I'm sorry, WHO decided to appeal to "moderate republicans" that DO NOT EXIST, decided to campaign with DICK FUCKING CHENEY, and completely ignored everyone's pleas to stop Israel from killing children and then did to students protesting literal genocide the exact same thing ICE is doing to immigrants right now?

I did vote, it did fuck all this time around but I did.

Thank you :)

Unfortunately, there is a decent portion of idiots here that did not.

I voted, but do you really think its mattered since technology entered the voting booth? I for one, dont. Its completely rigged. It was likely rigged with paper ballots, but it was probably a little harder to do. Just my opinion. Ill still get off my ass and do the song and dance to vote though.
