When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Ted Cruz warned Donald Trump, his fellow Republican, that he would face a “bloodbath” in the November midterm elections if prices continued to rise, prompting the president to respond, “fuck you, Ted,” the US senator told donors, according to a secret recording of the private conversation obtained by Axios.

Cruz reportedly delivered the reality check to the president in a phone conversation after Trump unveiled sweeping tariffs a few months after returning to the Oval Office in early 2025. The president was unhappy, Cruz said – and yelled and cursed in a conversation with Republican senators.

“Mr President, if we get to November of [2026] and people’s 401(k)s are down 30% and prices are up 10–20% at the supermarket, we’re going to go into election day, face a bloodbath,” Cruz said he told the president, according to Axios. “You’re going to lose the House, you’re going to lose the Senate, you’re going to spend the next two years being impeached every single week.”

Only 34% approve of how Trump has handled the cost of living while 64% disapprove, according to a recent New York Times/Siena poll. There is also evidence the economy may be motivating those who voted for Trump in 2024 but now disapprove of him, according to the Times.

FINALLY, someone who gets it. Of course he cheated in 2024. He's cheated at literally everything in his life, are we supposed to believe that the election on which his personal freedom was on the line, was the first time in his life that he played it "Fair & Square?" Especially since he had the open commitment and assistance from two foreign oligarchs with full access to the best hacking resources on the planet.

When we take it back, we have to prove it, and then declare Trump's entire presidency invalid, and roll back all legislation, EOs, appointments, and PARDONS. Put all of those Traitors back in jail, where they can hang with their MAGA idols.

This is why Democrats need to ensure that a progressive is the 2028 candidate (if elections are still a thing by that point) If the likes of Newsom or any other neo-liberal wins, all you'll get is a speech about "healing" and "moving forward", with none of the traitors being punished.

doubtful, if there is no one better than Neoliberal newsom. thats why the dnc stopped trashing Mamdani on the news, they were getting too much unwanted attention from the non-voters, genz. they certainly dont want another Mamdani candidate for 2028. they want newsoms, bidens clones, and in the senate jefferies and schumer ones.
