Officers said he ‘got his shit rocked’ but have largely refused to explain how he fractured his skull while in custody, judge says

A federal judge has ordered the immediate release of a Mexican man from Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody in Minnesota after he suffered “life-threatening” head injuries after his arrest.

A man identified in court documents as Alberto C.M., who entered the country legally on a temporary worker visa in 2022, was hospitalized with skull fractures and brain hemorrhages shortly after his arrest in St. Paul during Donald Trump’s surge of immigration enforcement officers in the state.

The cause of his injuries is still unknown. ICE has “largely refused to provide information” about what happened, except to say that he “he got his s*** rocked,” according to the judge.

The shootings don't just normalize shootings, they normalize everything up to and including shootings.

If they can get away with shootings, they don't think twice about smashing someone's head in.

This is my concern of American apathy. It gets relied on; it's that culturally ingrained. Protests are encouraging to see, but we always see momentum gone quickly and suddenly the things that once caused protests is just part of the regular news cycle.

As a non-American, it's bonkers to continue seeing how far the bar will sink before enough people finally say enough is enough.

Too many times has the apathy impacted the globe.

Shit had to get bad enough for the average American for the average voter to realize shits broken.

It took the Great Depression to get FDR elected, and the government was killing protesters in the streets then too.

Hell, a giant group of armed veterans were living at the Washington monument during the election.

Shit could have always gotten better, but it usually has to get real bad before people accept it. It's bad enough now we can actually fix shit

I don't think there's going to be any strong movement until the food shortages start.

No, they know they need "Bread & Circuses" to keep us placated and compliant, so they'll keep us barely fed and entertained with propaganda.

They are past that stage now, now they are doing everything to provoke revolt so they can justify killing with tanks and stopping any elections.

"He only kicked him the head with steel-toed boots. It's not like he SHOT him..."

That's basically what they said:

officers told hospital staff that he was “laying down in handcuffs when he attempted to flee, and then, for unknown reasons, purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”

Edit: my bad, I read your comment as saying he kicked himself in the head.
