I genuinely don't get the mystery. I thought it was built to mark the solstice?
some people say it's a site for the global community to sacrifice the wealthiest people on the planet during an existential crisis brought on by their greed. when enough of them have been sacrificed, the world resets to a time in pre-history and the a cycle of renewal begins.
