Most people live their own lives by that code of ethics. Libertarians believe that that code should be applied consistently, even to the actions of governments, which should be restricted to protecting people from violations of their rights. Governments should not use their powers to censor speech, conscript the young, prohibit voluntary exchanges, steal or “redistribute” property, or interfere in the lives of individuals who are otherwise minding their own business.

In general, all types of contributions are allowed, but the relevance to this community must always be evident and presented openly by the contributor. Posts that do not meet these requirements will be removed after a public warning. Also remember to cite you sources!
4. Use self-moderation measures first before reporting.
This community is fundamentally built upon freedom of speech. Since everyone understands libertarianism differently and we do not want to exclude any kind of content a priori, we appeal to the individual users to block/mute posts or users who do not meet their requirements. Please bear this in mind when filing a report

I hear you. In New Hampshire we have a very high concentration of libertarians, but still not enough to beat the Republicans or Democrats.
As an alternative, many pro-liberty Republicans and Democrats have gotten elected in New Hampshire (about 80 of them) and they make up the Liberty Caucus. It's similar to the position of Thomas Massie or Rand Paul in US Congress... both are registered Republican, but pro-liberty.
I always like to pose this analogy for that argument. You get to choose 1 option:
a) die in a painful fire,
b) die in your sleep, or
c) catch a cold.
Two scenarios result in death (one is beter than the other), the third you live. (c) is obviously the best option, but politicians use the rhetoric of "if you vote for (c), what if the (a) voters win and you die a painful death?!" Obviously, everyone wants option (c), but then they buy into the political rhetoric, and everyone dies in their sleep as a result. They could have had the choice to live if everyone just picked (c) initially instead of second guessing.
Once enough Libertarians move to New Hampshire, we will have the concentration needed to win outright (and pick your Option C). What we are doing now moves the needle, but I think most people here would agree with you. 🙂
