Predictably, in the comments for this article, some libs thought the appropriate rebuttal was "because they did things legally." Ok lol.

Where no matter how many Dems get seated they'll somehow not get quite enough votes to hold anyone anywhere to account

Well... the big task for democrats coming up on the midterms? Oust the old gerintocratic guard. The DNC needs a complete overhaul - really.
