I had the same feeling after the first one after delaying watching it for 15 years. It's really not a good movie. I don't get the hype.

Even most people who say they like it can't name a single character. They might name an actor, but a character from the world? Mostly crickets. It's really the weirdest franchise. I think people just like going to James Cameron's virtual worlds. ๐Ÿคท

He could probably do a nature documentary set in that world for cheap and people would pay to see it.

It would spare us the tiresome dialog.

I enjoyed the first, in the cinema in 3d, it felt designed to be watched in 3d, rather then the tacked on bullshit jumpscare the rest of the 3d era movies were
