And it's like the one and only appearance of a bicycle in the whole series. Kirkman addressed this in a fan letter reply in one of the printed issues, he basically admitted that he ignores the practical issues of cars for their plot convenience and aesthetics. He said bikes would be more realistic but why worry about that when you're in a universe of unlimited zombies.
