As someone who remembers Dilbert as one of the biggest players on the comics page of 1990s newspapers and loved the strips (even though as a kid I didn't really appreciate a lot of the office humor), this hits hard on so many levels. Scott Adams, you could have stayed a great, but now your legacy is that of a MAGA loser with an AI obituary.

For anyone who doesn't know, the “Dilbert” character has no mouth, yet in the AI version he sports a bright smile.

he had a mouth whenever he spoke in the cartoon so I never even realized he wasnt supposed to have one

Whenever the character came back from the future, his future incarnation had a mouth. And he was drawn with one occasionally before it, uh, stopped being cool to read the strip.

Hate to say it, but I think Adams would have been OK with this. Not with being hated and dead, obviously, but you know.

This fact makes Dilbert's usual mouthlessness even more characteristic.

“Just wait, AI will get better.”

I thought it was due to his short stature in the comic and here he's taller than both the shorties he's characterized with.

"Oh wait but fuck that one artist in particular"
